The Coupons.com website had a section with thousands of promo codes and coupons for online retailers. Part of my job was to write seasonal ads to promote holiday savings and offers—some for specific retailers and others with a more general flavor. Because kids’ costumes are one of the biggest sellers during the Halloween season, we chose to feature kids and some imagined dialogue as the headline.
