The Backstory of a Radio Spot

Firespring is a Midwest company that does A LOT—they have a commercial printing arm, a website development team, and a marketing agency, all rolled into one company. They’re a one-stop shop, of sorts, for businesses and organizations that need an omnichannel marketing strategy with all the necessary assets to boot.

Because they do so much, it can be hard to sum it all up in a quick elevator pitch. They tapped me to write three radio spots to help them, and my approach was slightly different: “Instead of saying what you DO do, let’s talk about what you DON’T do, and make people chuckle. This will, at the very least, make the name Firespring memorable—and then we’ll end the spot with a quick general overview of Firespring’s mission.”

This button will take you to the article I wrote about “The Untold Backstory of a 30-Second Radio Spot” and the three spots I wrote. They ran on local radio stations and got a lot of positive feedback from listeners. Which one is your fave?
